Bringing the Magic of Christmas to Families Across Kansas City

Zuzu’s Petals is a Kansas City-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to spreading the true spirit of Christmas to our neighbors in need. Since 2022, we’ve worked to ensure families facing difficult times still experience the warmth, joy, and traditions of the holiday season.

We provide grocery store gift cards so families can enjoy a special Christmas dinner, thoughtful gifts for children, and festive celebrations that bring our community together. Every act of giving is designed to lift spirits, create cherished memories, and remind families that they are not alone during the holidays.

Inspired by the timeless film It’s a Wonderful Life, our name reflects the hope and love symbolized by young Zuzu Bailey’s petals. Just like those petals, we believe small acts of kindness can blossom into something truly wonderful for our Kansas City community.

With the support of generous donors, volunteers, and local partners, Zuzu’s Petals is proud to keep Christmas magic alive for families throughout the City of Fountains. Together, we are building a stronger, more caring community—one Christmas at a time.

Our Mission

At Zuzu’s Petals, our mission is to bring the true spirit and magic of Christmas to families in need. We know the holiday season can be especially challenging for those facing financial hardship, and we believe every child and family deserves to celebrate Christmas with joy, dignity, and hope. That’s why we provide Christmas assistance programs including grocery store gift cards for holiday meals, children’s Christmas gifts that match their wish lists, and festive Christmas decorations to brighten homes. Our goal is to make Christmas more meaningful for families struggling to make ends meet by spreading holiday cheer, creating lasting memories, and ensuring no one is left out of the celebration.
